Department of Computer Technology

Vocational School of Technical Sciences Computer Technologies and Programming Program was opened in the 2000-2001 academic year. The name of the Program was changed between 2009 and 2010, and the Department of Computer Technologies was named Computer Programming Program. In the 2011-2012 academic year, lesson plans compatible with IKMEP were started to be implemented.

Each student must attend at least 70% of the lessons and at least 80% of the practices in order to register for the classes at the beginning of the term and to enter the final exam. Students are subjected to at least 1 midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam (the scores obtained from the measurement tools such as homework, practice exam, quiz, etc. as midterm grade can  also be taken into consideration) to the success grade is 50%, and the contribution of the final exam is 50%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. There is a requirement to get at least 20 points from the final exam. Students who get AA, BA, BB, CB and CC letter grades from a course are considered successful from that course. DC and DD grades are conditionally successful grades. In order for a student to be successful in a course in which he / she received DC or DD grade, his / her general weighted grade point average must be at least 2.0.
